Careers Lead

As the Careers Lead Our Lady of the Magnificat Catholic Multi Academy, Carol Anne provides strategic leadership for our schools, ensuring all are appropriately guiding and supporting our pupils to make positive transitions to their next steps. This includes supporting the personal development curriculum by integrating careers learning into lesson time and organising several careers events throughout the academic year to enrich the student experience, such as careers fairs, apprenticeship talks, armed forces challenge days and University trips.

Carol Anne qualified as a Level 6 careers adviser and Level 7 careers lead in 2020, whilst working at one of our secondary schools (St Augustine's Catholic High School), where she developed a passion for supporting sixth form pupils with University and job applications. Previous to this role she worked in a variety of departments in the private and public education sector, with a strong focus on helping young people achieve their goals. This equipped her to deliver high quality and unbiased advice and guidance to all of our pupils, especially those who may be moving on to a post-16 or post-18 destination. This specialised support is what sets our academy apart from others.
