St Thomas More Pre-School
On Tuesday, 23rd May, St. Thomas More, Redditch, opened its doors to visitors; new faces, old faces and more as we welcomed children to our brand-new Pre-School, opening in September 2023. This is an exciting moment in STM's journey as we continue to expand and offer excellent education, enrichment and opportunities from children as young as 3.
Children (and parents) enjoyed playing in the playground, building dens out of blocks and sheets, cutting and sticking in the craft area and of course, toasting marshmallows in our new forest area. They were even able to meet Penny, our very own chicken who joins us every Tuesday in forest school for Treetop Tuesdays.
One of the children told us
"I don't want to go home, I'm staying here to play now..." and parents told us "it's lovely to see you expand your provision to include Pre-school as this will help them get ready for school."
A huge thank you to all of the people who made the day possible; Mrs. Jones, EYFS lead who shared her ideas with all, Magnificat extended family for helping the set up, finance, resource, promote and bring the dream to fruition.
Mrs Rooney, Headteacher says "We are very grateful to you all. We are excited for September now"!
